WARNING:the following post is quite long and is rather uninteresting
Secondary 1
the first person that talked to me was Bervyn followed by Wayne seconds later. after a few weeks, i began talking more and made more friends. the teacher i hated most in Secondary 1 was Mrs Chiew and Mdm Fadilah. Mrs Chiew would take away or cut short HOM lessons, something which i dislike. being a clacker, HOM lessons gives me a chance to relax and when this "relaxation time" is taken away to practic mathematics, i got angry. loooking back, it is really silly of me. another memorable incident is seeing Daniel flare up and throw chairs. in fact, i was afraid of him then. being only 145cm when i first entered 1E1'06, i was afraid such violence wwould find me as a next target. thankfully, this violent side of Daniel died down eventually. i can't remember much about Secondary 1 but i only know i was the third shortest among the whole class.
Secondary 2
i don't remember too much about Secondary 2 life but i know that i was still one of the shortest in class. sitting beside Bervyn for most of the year was quite fun as he would tell me lots of class gossip, some of which i don't care actually. i remember that i had a crush on Huiwen and i told Josh and Bervyn about it-bad move i would say because less than a week later, the news spread. going to some Secondary 2 camp where the camp T-shirt was tasteless and i also had to kiss Bervyn's butt as a forfeit. of course, i am not that stupid to actually kiss his butt, come on, what if he deliberately farts, i would have died on the spot. anyway, i just used my head and knocked his butt hard which was accepted. my most memorable teacher was Mr Goh. he was the one who improved my physics greatly and allowed me to be among the top 5 for SA2 physics grade. i did not hate any teacher because it was streaming year and there is no use hating the teacher. i went to Sarawak with the school and had a lot of fun, the best school trip ever. the low point of the trip was that i lost about Rm42 in total when playing blackjack, even losing Rm7 straight to Yaode who got a triple 7. anyway, Jeremy's monney went missing too and i think i was the suspect because just moments ago, i changed some money with him. how unlucky. binxi and i also brought back a real kris from Malaysia and we were surprised that we cleared customs. SA2 was also memorable as during the exam period, the usual "LAN gang" would go LAN almost everyday. when the results were out, i was the best performer among the "LAN gang"-what a relief.
Secondary 3
i entered one of the most disunitd class ever. there were cliques everywhere and it was hard to even get a class T-shirt done. i was also disappointed that Mr Quek wasn't ouur physics teacher. anyway, i enjoyed or rather, the class enjoyed the jokes made my Hongzhang. at the end of the year, i remembered that a few of us were gambling for about an hour and i made money-$4.20 to be exact, but it was rather foolish to gamble and i didn't do it again so far. Mrs Goh was also furious with me for scoring a zero for her mathematics test-the first in all her years of teaching. wow, i broke a 20 over year record.
Secondary 4
i was feeling jittery even before 2009 begun because it was 'O' level year. i learned magic tricks from Derrick during the January but i am still a neophyte at magic tricks. i was still fooling aroung after 6 months into 2009. i only woke up a week before prelims where is scored a raw aggregate score of 22. the most memorable thing in Secondary 4 was being made to go to the famous staircase. what is memorable about this is that i got punished for forgetting or not knowing that i had to put a dot on the chromatography paper in the chromatography diagram. i still remember the conversation i had with Mdm Yaw over this incident.
Mdm Yaw: where is the start point? lazy right, don't want to check textbook.
me: you said that we can't check textbook
(a visibly stunned Mdm Yaw who spent time to think of her next sentence) Mdm Yaw: just go outside to the staircase
i am sure that many students who were taught by Mdm Yaw would remember some of her famous quotes like "cream of the cream", and "tom, dick, harry, jill, jean, jinny(or ginny)"
as you all can see, the fact that i remember so much about Mdm Yaw is because she has left the greatest impact on me. also, i finally grew tall and now, i am taller than about half the class.
now for a round-up of teachers and a little comments.
Mrs Chiew N C: don't remember what you teach.sorry. i do not have much memory of you. enjoy your retirement.
Mdm Fadilah: love your constant effort to pronouce 's'. e.g, girlssss and boyssss. no offence. love your P.E lessons though

Mdm Chih: lovable teacher. funny. love your storytelling, especially stories of your duals with Miss Lee.
Mrs Goh: improved my mathematics tremendously. you were the reason for my love towards mathematics. i love your sarcasm and storytelling.
Mrs Liu or Miss Chua: extremely funny lessons. i remembered most of what you taught.
Mdm Yaw: best teacher. inspiring, occasionally funny/lame.improved my Chemistry tremendously and fuelled my love towards Chemistry. in fact, the subject that i want to to the most or the first is Chemistry
Mr Goh: occasionally funny. taught me to remember lots of things and helped me score an A for Physics.
Mr Latiff: funny. love your occasional sarcastic remarks. you can really take jokes(even when Hongzhang said his son was having an orgasm in the photograph).your lessons were very helpful although i usually shutdown during lit lesson.
Mr Pu: helped me a lot. whatever questions i had you patiently explained to me. also love the way you make us feel guilty without raising your voice. occasionally funny/lame.
Mrs Constance Chee(art): love your lessons, hate the subject. thank you for giving me a 67 for the SA2 art exam though i just drew a huge can of tuna.
Mrs Toh: interesting lessons, accurate map drawing, refuse to call me "leon" but "lay-on do not know if you nderstand sarcasm or pretend not to.
Mr Chia: so old yet so fit. extremely enjoyble PE lessons
Mr Ravi: funny and interesting PE lessons
i hope i do not miss out any teachers. thank you teachers for your patience and time.
i have compiled a small list of things i would like to learn in the near future.
- learning to read reports on horse-racing
- learning how to play bridge
- learning how to play badminton better
- learning other languages like spanish and malay
i want to learn how to play bridge because my primary school friends are playing bridge now, so i would like to learn to play. i realised it is quite fun just seeing them play, so i want to learn it.
learning how to play badminton better is so i can win my maid, whom is quite good. she always thrashes me during practice sessions and i am not too happy to get thrashed everytime.
oh wait! someone just pressed the doorbell. ah, i am back. i get very irritated whenever someone presses the doorbell, especially so when my grandparents are nearer to he gate and can see who is at the gate. they would just stand there and continue watching television programmes as though they didn't hear the doorbell. how irritating is that! anyway, i have changed this thinking as most likely, they would not know who the person is, so they would not open the gate. however, i am rather fed up with their morning routine.
- wake up
- on the TV
- read newspaper
- have breakfast
- go to room
- go out
this is for grandpa. next is for grandma.
- wake up
- on the radio
- read newspaper
- have breakfast
- ask me "have you eaten"
...and so on. what irritates me is that my grandpa does not watch the TV program but occasionally glances at it but the volume of the TV is 40, disturbing those who are still sleeping. likewise for my grandma-turn on the radio but never listen. turn on radio but ever listen is okay, just don't let the volume be too loud!!! once, our whole family just got into the car, the car engine was just turned on and we heard a sound- a familiar fart sound coming from my grandpa. we immediately said "oooiii!" and he had the nerve to say "buay chao lah". what the heck right. anyway, i don't really care about all this anymore, i guess i am used to all these noise. what still irritates me though is my grandma's without-fail question: "have you eaten" in teochew. want to eat you eat lah, i hungry i will eat what. coming home from school, reading newspapers in the morning, lunchtime, dinnertime, "have you eaten??" it makes me very irritated. aaaaaaarrrggghhh!!!!!!!!!!! however, its nice to have more people in the house and i am grateful for that.
i still remember this particular verse though i read it quite long ago.
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship."--Romans 12:1
